Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs was made in 2009. It was produced by Blue Sky Studios and distributed by 20th Century Fox. Carlos Saldanha and Mike Thurmeirer directed the film. The film was made because Blue Sky Studios wanted to make a “what-if” adventure. They also wanted it to be a kind of a lost world kind of movie which lead to the dinosaurs being found underground. The dinosaurs were textured with bright colours because Peter de Seve believed that he could use his imagination because no one really knows what colour dinosaurs actually were. The dinosaurs look realistic in the way of movement and of looks, Blue Sky Studios focused on making the dinosaurs photo realistic. There are some unrealistic dinosaurs and they are the babies as there heads are enlarged and they have big grins and can talk. But the rest of the dinosaurs were all made to a photo realistic standard.
